PVX-4000-2kV is an air cooled high voltage pulse generator. PVX-40002kV is optimized to drive high-impedance capacitive loads up to +2000V, ideal for driving extraction grids and deflection plates for electrostatic modulation of particle beams in time-of-flight mass spectrometer and accelerators
PVX-4000-2kV-EX requires an external high voltage power supply ranging from 0V to 2000V. For example, a +1000 V power supply can be connected to a positive voltage input and a -1000 V power supply can be connected to a negative voltage input for a total voltage of 2000V. Differential voltage (the difference between positive and negative supply voltage) must not exceed 2000 V.

Using internal triggers, the system has a duty cycle of 2% to 98% and a repetition rate of 40 Hz to 30,000 HZ. With an external trigger, the system is capable of repeating frequencies from a single excitation to 600 kHz and pulse widths from 500ns to 99% duty cycle.

Programming is done through front panel controls and RS-232 and USB computer interfaces
